Ω (Omega) is a Raven working for Vertex in Armored Core: Last Raven. He also appears in Armored Core: Nexus as a free Arena combatant.

Information[]

A Raven who is only happy when he is engaged in combat, Ω is easily one of the most dangerous pilots aligned with Vertex, and is extremely skilled. He appears in "Secure The Terminal Area" and is usually killed early in all other endings.

AC Clown Face | Clown Crown[]

Known in Japan as Clown Crown.

Nexus AC description: Reverse-joint design equipped with enough weapons so that it operates right at the edge of its mobility performance. The unit's firepower is impressive.

In Nexus, Omega's Clown Face is a heavyweight reverse-joint legged AC equipped with a variety of weapons. It includes an orbit cannon, dual missile launcher, anti-missile extensions, a machine gun and a grenade rifle. The unit is also equipped with an energy EO core and is also using OP-INTENSIFY.

In Last Raven, Clown Face has been altered, albeit retaining its main arm weapon configuration and the dual missile launcher equipped on the other shoulder instead. It has switched out its orbit cannon for a light chain gun, the anti-missile extensions for relay missile extensions and the energy EO core for a solid shell one instead.

equipped with a diverse arsenal of weapons. Pilot makes use of ECM pods to keep opponents off guard.

Clown Face specializes in solid damage with a machine gun, grenade rifle, missile launcher, and chain gun. His fighting style is similar to Crow, but is far more predictable and as a result of the heavier build, much slower. He is slightly more dangerous compared to Crow because of his harder-hitting weaponry and overall erratic movement patterns. Be aware of the grenade rifle, as Omega can and will use it to overheat your AC.

Strategy[]

NX[]

Omega is more aggressive Crow, he will fly about frequently while letting loose a barrage of machine gun and grenade rifle bullets at you, or harassing you with missile swarms or orbit weapons. All of his weapons deal significant damage up close, which makes it paramount to stay out of his cone of attacks. ====

There is a catch however; despite having Human PLUS, Omega is still prone to overheating due to having subpar radiator performance, and it is actually quite easy to get him to blow out his generator while he attempts to maintain vertical movement. His booster choice offers greater speed, but its use in conjunction with a heavy build like his limits its effectiveness. As such, strong weapons like his own are highly effective against him. His missile interceptor extensions also don't help in fending off missile attacks, which makes swarming him with missile volleys a viable tactic as well.

Also due to Omega being a heavy build, it greatly limits his mobility which makes it rather easy to nail him with powerful weapons such as the LX cannon. If done right, Omega will have trouble keeping up with you as you run circles around him, staying out of his cone of attack and scoring unanswered hits on him.

LR[]

Omega is encountered in the mission Secure The Terminal Area. In contrast to Nexus, Omega is a lot more competent in using his AC and is less prone to getting flanked. Not to mention the area in which he's fought is rather cramped, which deprives him of space for dodging but also gives him more room to hammer you repeatedly. For that reason, using a light AC against Omega is not advised, as the enclosed environment will prevent you from dodging Omega's attacks effectively. Instead, outgunning Omega in a damage race would serve as a more viable tactic. Since the terrain limits dodging or evasion, your best bet would be to emphasize defense and firepower to offset this.

To that end, using weapons like the BP bazooka, the CR-WH05RLA linear rifle, the CR-WB87GLL grenade launcher and the LX cannon on a heavy tank build works well against Omega on this mission. Omega is still a heavy RJ build in this game, and is vulnerable to being staggered by heavy weaponry. Take advantage of this and hammer him down before he has a chance to turn the fight around.
