Lightweight, two-leg AC designed as a high-speed, quick-strike unit. Poor defense stats prevent it from faring very well in prolonged encounters. A replica of the AC Wonder Raid from Armored Core 2: Another Age, it shares the similar lightweight bipedal frame with identical weapon loadout. Said loadout includes a back-mounted grenade launcher, laser blade and a rifle.

Strategy[]

Extremely fast, light and quick on its feet, -1 is no longer just an annoyance like its Another Age counterpart. It will often employ quick-strike, hit-and-run tactics while strafing. The sheer speed of this unit is not be underestimated, as it can avoid just about anything you throw at it. Worse still, it has an Overboost core that allows for quick getaways or speed bursts. -1 is by no means a walk in the park.

Thankfully, Quartz Clock has limited ammo stores, and can be run out of ammo quite easily. Another thing to note: despite its sheer speed, -1 has the tendency of idly walking about before overboosting, or after it has swung its blade. Take full advantage of this, as -1 becomes a much easier target to hit when it's walking instead of boosting. True to its description, Quartz Clock does have paper thin defense and AP, and falls quite easily to nearly any kind of weapon. Do note that it also has the tendency to shoot energy waves from its blades at times.

While slow, heavy ACs will be able to endure and keep up with his withering attacks, the caveat is that -1 is very fast--fast enough to easily get behind you and blow you apart. As tempting as it seems to obliterate -1 with heavy weaponry, you won't always find hits as -1 does prioritize evasion in the event it sustains increasing damage.

Conclusively, -1 is a tough one to keep a beat on, but a fragile one as well. Take care if you choose to engage in blade combat as Quartz Clock equips arguably the best laser blade in the game (ELF3), and can deal significant damage to you without noticing.

  • Quart Clock is a replica of AC Wonder Raid from Armored Core 2: Another Age that appears on the cover and the intro video with the save of his legs, which were only introduced into the Portable versions of Armored Core.
