The 012 MELANDER C3 is a Balam middleweight bipedal Armored Core model that first appears in ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON. It is a lighter variant of the 011 MELANDER frame.

A modified version of the 011 MELANDER, the MELANDER C3 model sports lower armor in favor of lighter weight, lower EN drain, and better firearm, booster, and generator support. Compared to its cousin, it is geared more towards maneuverability and raw offensive power.
Unlike the more ubiquitous MELANDER frame, the MELANDER C3 seems to only be issued within Balam's forces, as only G5 Iguazu has ever been seen piloting one during the Coral War (at least barring the optional AC TENDERFOOT that is made available to C4-621).
