13 is a Raven in the Armored Core 3 Portable Arena. His rank is E-33.
Information[]
Never without his visor, this Raven is a battle-hardened mercenary who knows when to cut his losses and run. He mentors a young female Raven who's the same age as his daughter, and competes in the Arena to demonstrate his battle skills.
He plays a major role in the Armored Core: Brave New World novel and is stated as being the mentor to Double Heart. A veteran Raven. As one of surviving Cyptonym members, the other two are Asuma Greenfield and Orcus Noir. Asuma served as 13's operator. He lost his life to a mysterious unit known as the "Black Unknown". After his death, he has been dismantled for Dracone Project before the main story, perserved as a transferred consciousness housed in a new AC unit Mavors.
AC Mavors[]
Mavors is a lightweight two-legged unit that emphasizes aggressive tactics. In the Armored Core 3 remake on the PSP console, he is only equipped with the SHADE laser rifle and MOONLIGHT blade. However, it can be implied that some form of Human PLUS is in use during the main storyline (although it's obvious that he isn't meshed into his AC like other Human PLUS subjects) of Armored Core: Brave New World since Mavors can be armed with a KARASAWA laser rifle, MOONLIGHT laser blade, and two grenade launchers on its back all with only a lightweight frame.
CR-C75U2 Quad Legged AC (Brave New World)[]
Thirteen's original AC was a quad-legged craft. Armaments included solid shell machine gun weapon arms, shoulder shield extension parts and CWX-LIC-10 linear cannon, suggesting a mid-to-long range setup. The name for of AC was never mentioned in the novel. Thirteen used this unit in his last mission encounter with the "Black Unknown " in the forest. In spite of his heavy fire power, the unknown unit was able to deflect his attacks utilizing something akin to Primal Armor. Thirteen met his end from the machine's missile attacks.
AC Mavors (Brave New World)[]
Thirteen's consciousness was transplanted into Mavors after his death by Phantom 0. While its lightweight assembly suggests an Overweight setup due to the dual grenade launchers and KARASAWA + MOONLIGHT combination, it was developed by the Dracone Project as a new generation AC disguised as a conventional unit. In addition since the unit is linked to an AI, it received high performance backup from Phantom 0 and boasts high performance comparable to custom-made ACs combined with the pilot's skill. The unit was destroyed by Mizuki in the Coliseum arena battle in Episode 13-14.
Strategy (Armored Core 3 Portable)[]
Found at the bottom of the Arena ranks, this newcomer is somewhat of a cross between the two Rankers above him: 13 uses a very fast lightweight AC setup Mavors, armed with MOONLIGHT like Exile; is a laser rifle user with heavily vertically-oriented movement like Terra; and his AC comes with empty back slots like both of the aforementioned contenders. And if it's one thing, its fast. Unless you have a fast AC yourself, you won't be able to keep up with him. Mavors has the OP-INTENSIFY bonuses and is one of the most agile ACs around. 13 prefers to stay up in the air as much as possible, and his tracking ability is one of the best in the game. Without a fast AC, your best bet is to either fish for hard landings, or keep as much distance as you can with appropriate weapons and negate his vertical advantage this way.
The SHADE laser rifle and the MOONLIGHT blade will definitely catch you off guard. Mavors' firepower is lacking (especially since 13 does not employ his EO), but 13's strategy makes up for that, utilizing his excellent mobility in order to blindside you at all times - and a OP-I boosted MOONLIGHT slash is going to hurt no matter what. 13 tends to stay behind you and attack, so the utilization of grenade weapons with the quick-turn extensions will send a sudden blow at him in return. Otherwise, use a tank and a aperture linear cannon while in the Arena and just mow him down from your starting position.

Trivia[]
- Mavors is one of several ACs made into a Model Kit.
- Mavors' armaments with a KARASAWA laser rifle, MOONLIGHT laser blade, and two grenade launchers on his back appears to be tribute to Nine-Ball in Armored Core The Fake Illusions novel.
- Mavors' armament is significantly downgraded in Armored Core 3 Portable compared to its Brave New World version, possibly to prevent landing this AC into an overweight status. This suggests that the H+ performance of Mavors unit seen in the novel exceeds the capabilities of OP-INTENSIFY that replaces H+ in Armored Core 3.
- Thirteen's Quad Legs AC is a recolored version of Delta, replacing the dual chain guns with a the linear cannon and the energy shield extensions with its solid counterpart.
- 13 is a number most commonly associated with bad luck.
- Mavors is an alternative name for Mars, the Roman God of War.
- In the Brave New World he is 50 years old.
- His Cryptonym member number is 13. Code name "Thirteen".
- In the Armored Core 3 Portable NA version, he's named "13" rather than 『サーティ』 (Thirteen) in the Japanese version.
- Mavors is the only AC in Armored Core 3 Portable that uses the CHD-GLITCH head - essentially "importing" the part into the game. The said Head part is a reward for besting 13 in the Arena.
