The AM14: SENTRY is an Enemy MT in ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON, manufactured by the Planetary Closure Administration. It is a manned bipedal mech that serves as the frontline soldier for the PCA, and are the most common enemies faced from that faction. They are a step above standard BAWS MTs, featuring a notable firepower and movement increase.
All Subject Guard MTs have a high degree of mobility thanks to the thrusters present on their backs and shoulders, giving them the ability to quickboost out of danger and avoid enemy fire.
Variants[]
Standard[]
The Standard Subject Guard MT is equipped with a laser rifle and missile launchers, two on each shoulder, allowing for bursts of 4 missiles at a time. It has a number of attacks, most notably it can fire its laser rifle rapidly, as well as charge it to hit for even more damage, usually done at the end of a flurry of standard shots.
Stun Bomb[]
Some Subject Guard MTs are equipped with a machine gun and stun bomb launchers instead. Though not as heavily armed as other variants, their stun bombs can build up electrial discharge quickly, and leave the player open for further damage by supporting forces.
Grenade[]
This variant features the same laser rifle as the standard variant, while trading in its missile launchers for dual grenade cannons mounted on its back. Usually tasked in defensive roles, it tends to back up and run away from the player when approached, in order to maintain its distance so it can continue to bombard the player with its weapons.
Close Combat[]
A rarer variant of the Subject Guard MT, this version utilizes a rapid-fire machine gun, as well as a heated knife which it unsheathes from its left arm. They will attempt to close in on the player and melee them, then fire their machine gun in quick bursts.
Flamethrower[]
A rare variant found only in closed off tunnels where they can put their primary armament to use. This MT is equipped with a two-handed flamethrower which is its sole form of attack, charging up and then bursting out a massive gout of flame at the player.

Gameplay[]
They are first fought at the end of Chapter 1 during the mission "Attack the Watchpoint," and are not seen again until the start of Chapter 3, wherein they make up the bulk of the PCA's forces. They are also fought after the PCA are expelled from Rubicon 3, as Arquebus proceeds to take over and repurpose the MTs for their own uses, supplanting their old BAWS MTs with these newer models.
