Alberto Gunther was a mercenary active during the Verdict War. Once a formidable and talented mercenary, a near-death experience reduced his abilities to a shadow of what they once were. He was eventually killed in action fighting against the Lone Mercenary.
Biography[]
Origin Vorka City. Male, age 26. Alberto Gunther was once heralded as a genius among mercenaries. His career was a steady upward climb until one sudden and debilitating defeat almost cost him his life. Although he managed a nigh-miraculous physical recovery from his injuries, severe mental trauma inflicted by the event significantly dulled his former combat prowess. By the time of the Verdict War, his post-traumatic stress disorder had left him on the verge of total psychological collapse. Confirmed killed in action: Route R1024
AC Gecko[]
Alberto Gunther's Armored Core, Gecko, is a tank type armed with an AM/GGA-206 gatling gun, AM/LRA-144 laser rifle, and an Su-B-T22 rocket launcher. Alongside these weapons, Gecko also has a chemical-energy resistant Au-U-E02 shield, increasing the tank AC's already high defense. Overall, Gecko puts very little emphasis on precision or agility, instead opting to merely remain still while spraying the area around it with bullets.

Gameplay[]
Gecko is tough against almost every kind of weapon. Moreover, his firepower make him a dangerous opponent to face alone in close combat (at least at the beginning of the game), and he is able to hit targets up to a considerable distance.
I suggest to build a sniper AC focused on KE/TE defense. Use a double sniper cannon to hit him from the overpass where you start the mission. At the beginning he will dash left and right and jump in front of you but he never comes close.
If you don't kill him quickly, however, he will try to find shelter behind the damaged skyscrapers on your right. In that case you have to get off the overpass and shoot at him from the top of a building.
He will fall in a total of five/six shots of a powerful, single shot sniper rifle, but it needs around fifteen shots of the standard, three round burst sniper rifle.
