Armored Core: For Answer

The Arena is a mode and stage in which the player is able to fight against opponents and gain money and rank.

Difference from Missions[]

The Arena's main purpose is to allow players to test their skills in combat against Ravens of equal or greater skills, while also providing incentives such as cash prizes or parts. Because most Ravens in Arena are also in missions, it is also a good way to test and look for weakness in both the enemies and the player's own AC.

Difference of the Arena Modes for Each Game[]

Armored Core 1 to Master of Arena[]

Armored Core 2 to Another Age[]

Armored Core 3 to Last Raven[]

  • Armored Core 3 - Had a arena mode with a small difference than Armored Core: Master of The Arena as there were tiers in ranks of E->D->C->B->A. Some of the Ravens also participate in Story mode, but if they are killed, they are taken off of the ladder and replaced by a new opponent in the E-Rank. Clearing the game unlock 22 new Ravens in the E-tier. Defeating all Ravens in the Arena unlocks the EX-Arena where the player can choose a Raven to partner up with and fight against two opponents at once for two-on-two action.
  • Silent Line: Armored Core - The same as Armored Core 3, but fewer rankings and Ravens (see above)
  • Armored Core: Nexus- The arena is tied into the story and each arena match helps progress the story. The ranking system in the arena mode changed from Raven Rank to a Points system which also tied into completing missions from which you get points, also with successful Arena victories
  • Armored Core: Nine Breaker - The second game in the series to revolve around the Arena it has a similar system to Nexus but you have a chance of losing points for losing a match.
  • Armored Core: Formula Front- Had league matches which functioned very similarly to arena matches.
  • Armored Core: Last Raven - The original Arena is renamed the VR Arena and no longer has a story connected to Arena like Master of Arena or Nexus. After beating one of the paths, an EX Arena opens up allowing you to fight defeated Ravens for their emblems.

Armored Core 4 to For Answer[]

  • Armored Core 4 - Simulated battles between sets of enemies in Arena combat. Similar NEXTS from each company are placed in a data pack. Once a data pack has been completed, a new one is unlocked.
  • Armored Core For Answer - An expanded arena with one or two arenas depending on the player's actions.

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon[]

  • Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon - Simulated battles between named ACs and their pilots to earn credits and OST Chips to be spent on passive bonuses bought within the OS Tuning menu. The Arena is tiered into 29 ranks, 29-27/F > 26-24/E > 22-18/D > 17-13/C > 12-08/B > 07-04/A > 03-01/S. Each rank number offered higher credit rewards than the previous one, and each tier offered higher OST Chip rewards than the previous one. A second set of arena fights is unlocked upon completing the game and beginning New Game+, allowing the player to earn enough OST Chips to unlock every option in the OS Tuning menu.
