"Attack on Richland" is a mission in Armored Core: For Answer.

Briefing[]

This is the mission.

The client is GA America. The target is the Algebra forces guarding the Richland Agricultural Plant.

Your task is extremely simple. We want you to destroy all enemy units.

There's one catch. The enemy has commandeered a GA-manufactured Arms Fort. The client could not give us many details, but it sounds like it's going to give you some trouble.

Oh yeah. Like before, we can provide you with support NEXTS for this mission. Let me know if you want to draw on these resources.

Overview[]

The player must clear the location of all enemy Algebra forces. The Land Crabs pose the largest threat.

Hard Mode differences: Rather than there being only one AF Land Crab, there will be two firing at the player.

Serene Haze:Commence mission. Arms Fort Land Crabs confirmed. Intel was right on the money this time. They're standard models but don't underestimate them. Proceed with caution. Don't waste ammunition on its front. Circle around it while avoiding the main cannon's firing radius.

Dan Moro:Celebrity Ash has arrived. Let's do this. You'll be happy to have me around, if I do say so myself.

May Greenfield:Merrygate reporting. Commencing attack. You be my shield. That's what the heavies are for. I'm launching a frontal barrage. "Pinpoint targeting" just isn't my style.

Takafumi Arisawa:Arisawa Heavy Industries Rai-Den here. I'll take them head on. That's how I've always done it. Let's burn them all to the ground.

Serene Haze:Land Crab destroyed. Good. Now just mop up the small fry. Let's clean up and go home.

Serene Haze:Confirmed all targets destroyed. Mission complete.

Dan Moro:Phew, finally over. They were no match for us. After all, they're only standard model AFs right?

Walkthrough[]

First of all, wingmen. You can easily do this mission on your own however if you take a partner they'll take on all the Normals and some MTs for you, allowing you to deal with the AF, so it's up you. If you do choose a wingman, go for May. She's the most cost effective as she's just as effective as Rai-den but cheaper. When it starts, overboost straight to the AF (ensure to use strafing maneuvers in order to avoid the heavy ballistic fire). Get underneath it (as this protects you from its stream of missiles) and blade it until dead. Then engage the rest of the enemies; the MTs are in groups of three and the Normals all attack together. NOTE: Although the enemies faced are weak one on one, the numbers mean they churn out a lot of fire and if you're cocky you'll pay the price. Keep constantly on the move to avoid enemy fire and cut them down.

HARD:

Same as above mostly. When boosting to the Land Crabs, go to the left of the map and stay low (this means the second AF can't get a line of sight and therefore can't hit you). Getting an S involves constantly moving to avoid the large fields of fire and being quick to take out the enemy.
