Attitude Control System (ACS) is a stat introduced in ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON.
Description[]
Heidi Kemps: Another addition to the series' combat is a "stagger" element: if an AC takes too many hits over a short period of time, its Attitude Control System will be overloaded, making it vulnerable for a short time. Both continuous hits and big, powerful strikes will cause stagger damage, encouraging you to keep up the pressure on the opponent. The damage inflicted to an enemy's stagger gauge varies from weapon to weapon. It can also be affected by factors like distance, adding additional strategy in equipping and using these armaments in combat.[1]

The ACS is a computer system present in virtually all forms of vehicles in ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON that contributes to maintaining their posturing and stability. In-game, any strike made against a vehicle, from the lowliest MT to a C-Weapon, can cause its ACS to overload and leave the vehicle staggered and vulnerable for a short time. The vehicle will also suffer from the “Direct Hit Damage” stat when attacked in this state, which applies bonus damage to whatever attacks are made against a staggered vehicle. If an Armored Core is upgraded with the “Direct Hit Modifier” under OS Tuning, it will deal increased Direct Hit Damage (up to 15% when fully upgraded).
ACS overloads are determined by the “Attitude Stability” defensive stat and the “Impact” damage stat within frame parts and weapons, respectively. The former determines how resistant an ACS is to an overload when the vehicle takes hits, and the latter determines how effective a weapon is for causing an enemy target’s ACS to overload.
