The BASHO is a BAWS bipedal middleweight Armored Core model that first appears in ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON.
Summary[]
Said to be one of the first AC models ever produced in history, the BASHO is an antiquated but still formidable machine that adheres to the old Core Theory concept, which prioritizes close combat over long-range engagements that typically dominated vehicle combat in the olden days.
True to this, the BASHO has reasonably high protective qualities and phenomenal melee combat support, allowing it be durable enough to close into opponents and fight them face-to-face with deadly results. Additionally, it also has low EN drain, so the AC itself does not tax the generator's capacity compared to newer ACs, along with decent load-bearing capabilities.
However, the BASHO lacks generator supply or output support. Additionally, due to its focus on Core Theory, it lacks firearm specialization support.
As a locally-produced AC, the BASHO is quite popular with the Rubicon Liberation Front.
