Armored Core: Nexus

Boss Savage is a Raven seen in Armored Core and the Nexus Revolution Disc. He is one of major antagonists in both games.

Information[]

Known to crush his enemies mercilessly, his flashy fighting style makes him not so successful.

He is first encountered during the mission, Remove Base Occupants. He hires The Raven to take care of a mission for him within an undersea base off Agrea Island. This proves to be a trap where Boss Savage locks all of the doors, trapping The Raven deep within the base to face off against a large number of Cerberus and Crusader MTs. The Raven manages to escape the base blowing through a few weaker walls.

Boss Savage is again met during the mission Mop Up Chrome Remnants. During the mission, he is waiting for The Raven outside of the Old Chrome Military Facility. He brands The Raven as an Irregular before attempts to once again destroy him but is killed.

He also appears in the Nexus Revolution disc remake of Mop Up Chrome Remnants (also known as Destroy Resistance Group) and is portrayed in a much more sympathetic light. In Nexus he is shown to be against the corporations and his actions were meant to stop them.

Quotes[]

"Mop Up Chrome Remnants" (second)[]

    • You're still alive? But we will end that now. Don't you understand? You were totally out of line. You are going overboard. (Boss Savage before attacking The Raven)
    • You're still alive. But It's will end here. Do you not understand? It's an Irregular. You've gone too far! まだ生きていたとはな。だがそれも終わりだ。わからんのか?イレギュラーなんだよ。やりすぎたんだ。お前はな! (Boss Savage before attacking The Raven JP ver.)

AC Sledgehammer[]

Boss Savage

Sledgehammer is a heavyweight two-legged AC equipped with a bazooka, rocket launcher, small missile launcher, and laser blade. The unit is also capable of ignoring weight restrictions.

Strategy[]

This traitorous Raven is fairly easy to kill, being both slow moving and using inaccurate weaponry such as a bazooka and rockets. Powerful energy weapons such as the plasma cannon arms and the KARASAWA can easily kill him and he's blader fodder due to his slow design. Players using solid rounds will have a harder time to finish him due to his high solid defense but this should not prove to be a major issue.

Trivia[]

  • In the mission Remove Base Occupants briefing, Boss Savage is shown to have a very strong accent. Oddly enough, when he speaks in game, this is hardly evident at all. Moreover the accent is completely non-existent in the Japanese version briefing as well.
  • Of interesting note, although Boss Savage dies in the original game, he escapes in the Revolution disc and is not heard from again.
