Bounce Dog is is the unofficial fan name for a Special Forces AC that appears in Armored Core 2.
Overview[]
The Bounce Dog is a middleweight reverse-joint AC equipped with a plasma cannon double back weapon, a handheld machine gun, a laser blade and an overboost core. Although equipped with a back mounted plasma cannon and an overboost core the unit is never seen using these in battle. Should it be able to use the back mounted plasma cannon it is likely the unit needs to kneel to use it.

Strategy[]
Bounce Dog isn't particularly dangerous per se, but can prove annoying due to their mobility and agility. Fortunately, they don't have much in the way of durability, and they can be destroyed easily with a few shots from a strong weapon of your choice. In their first appearance, you will face 2 Bounce Dogs along with other Shafter MTs. Their combined firepower is guaranteed to give you trouble, so get rid of them as quickly as you can.
In the spacestation mission, Bounce Dog appears in the 3rd room with 4 ceiling turrets. Although turrets are optional to destroy, Bounce Dog must be destroyed to unlock the gate that will lead you to the Luciole Disorder unit in the southern room. Their agility may make them annoying to target, but falls easily to heavy firepower. After the Luciole unit is destroyed, another Bounce Dog will spawn in the same room, although this time they're an optional foe to destroy. You can leave them be, but destroying the Bounce Dog will grant you a monetary bonus.
Appearances[]
Appears twice as an enemy. It appears in the missions VIP Escort and Spacestation Assault.
