The CD-J-098 is a model of quadcopter drone. Multiple factions field them as airborne sentries or troop transports.
Variants[]
Laser[]
The most common type of quadcopter, these mount a laser cannon underneath and are often seen providing aerial sentry duties over Arquebus or PCA bases.
Cluster Missile[]
This variant mounts a containerized cluster missile system underneath.
Paratroop[]
This Quadcopter is used as a transport for individual MTs to paradrop from, supplementing larger manned transport helicopters. They possess a pair of booster rockets on each side to increase their speed compared to their slower cousins.
Pulse[]
The rarest variant, this quadcopter mainly provides protection to allied units through a large pulse field generator, but it can also defend itself with a large pulse gun.
Gameplay[]
Quadcopter drones pack heavy weaponry for their size, but are extremely fragile. One or two shots from most weapons will destroy them. Paratroop variants should be prioritized, as destroying them before they've dropped their MT will destroy both.
Trivia[]
- The turrets of the laser variant seem to be identical in form to the PCA laser beam turrets in Watchpoint Alpha Depth 3. However, they do not have a targeting laser, and fire similarly to player-controlled laser cannons. Whether or not this is meant to imply the PCA sourcing weaponry from the same generic supplier, or a simple reuse of game assets to speed development is unknown.
- The WR-0999 DELIVERY BOY appears to be the launcher from the cluster missile variant, inverted and converted to an AC back weapon.
