Astro-Physics is a hover-legged AC equipped with inside decoy dispensers, vertical missile launcher extensons, a triple missile launcher, a laser cannon, a bazooka, a laser blade that fires blade waves and an overboost core. Strategy[]

Astro-Physics is reminiscent of an older game's PLOW AC, which may seem odd in a game like Nexus. Nonetheless, he can pose a serious threat if you don't know what you're doing. Astro-Physics is designed to hit hard and fast, and to underestimate its damage output is to risk certain death.

He will often start off by firing missiles salvos, which can be quite tricky to avoid, given the arcing of the vertical missile extensions and the trajectory of the triple missiles can catch you in a pincer-like attack. Regardless, do your best to avoid being hit by this as this can take off huge chunks of AP. Next, he will either switch to his laser cannon or bazooka, and begin overboosting. Special care must be taken when engaging him during this phase, as Astro-Physics is alarmingly accurate with its shots and will treat slow ACs as target practice. He may also fire off energy blade waves in the meantime, which although not dangerous on its own, can give trouble if you get caught in his chain of attacks.

Fortunately, despite the use of heavy-hitting weapons, Astro-Physics somewhat falls short in terms of defense and mobility. Even with his frequent bursts of OB, it is somewhat slow compared to some other hover ACs, not to mention Astro-Physics' focus on offense means it completely neglects evasion and avoidance, and will readily absorb whatever damage it's dealt. Due to its choice of parts, Astro-Physics is ironically vulnerable to being staggered by heavy weapons, despite being equipped with said weapons. As its durability game isn't top-notch, Astro-Physics can be easily overwhelmed with concentrated fire from close-range, rapid fire weapons. Although it comes equipped with missile decoys, Astro-Physics often neglects using them, as it is too focused on maximizing its offensive strength, leaving it wide open to damage from huge salvos of missiles.

Overall, Astro-Physics' sole reliance on offense makes him a fierce opponent, but is not exactly sufficient to make up for its notably obvious flaws. It could at best, be treated as a more aggressive Principal, which is not a high bar to surpass. Using a similar strategy for dealing with Principal on Astro-Physics should allow you to be able to defeat it without too much problems.
