Etymology[]
The name Crescent Moon is one of the oldest symbols recognized by humanity. While originally representing the Mesopotamian Moon gods Nanna in Sumer and Sin in Babylonia, it later came to express the might of the Byzantine Empire. Over time it became adopted by the Sassanids, Muslims, and Turks.
The name Moon represents the earth's moon, its only natural satellite.
Trivia[]
- In the original Armored Core, Crescent Moon's image in the Ranking features a visual error on his LNKS-14B6J; in the image, the leg part lacks the detailing on the legs and the bottom of the feet that the in-game version has, possibly stemming from how the image may have been taken earlier in the game's development. This was rectified in Master of Arena.
