The "Dafeng Student Pilot" is an AC pilot operating on the planet Rubicon 3 during the Coral War. He is an unnamed pilot who's original role was to simply pilot the Redguns' newest AC into an awaiting transport chopper. He has an apparent lack of field combat experience, reassuring himself with his training calm his nerves during a fight. He hoped to make it big in the Redguns, eventually being able to get a callsign of his own.
The AC he pilots is the target of the mission Destroy the Tester AC.

AC TESTER[]
TESTER is a heavyweight Dafeng TIAN-QIANG AC armed with a few basic weapons. According to Arquebus Corporation, it is a sample model with unique optimizations that was designed for Dafeng by an "external architect", and it would present a significant threat if it fell into the hands of a skilled AC pilot. Handler Walter also mentions that it was intended for delivery to the Redguns. Interestingly, it uses an RaD booster part.

- The student pilot is the first enemy AC players will face.
- His AC data is available in NG+, after the Integration Program of the Arena is unlocked.
- His AC's setup is also unique as if the Tester AC did manage to make it to the Redguns, it would have been the first and only known Redguns AC to use a Rubiconian-made weapon and also a dedicated melee weapon.
- G1 Michigan's dialog during the Attack the Dam Complex briefing implies the student pilot was suppose to receive the G13 rank, before 621 eliminated him.
- It is implied that the external architect appears to be ALLMIND, as according to the notes written on "Analysis Subject 51-012 AL": it is an experiment to see how well (or in this case, how poorly), unaugmented humans can adapt to an entirely new AC.
