"Defeat Silent Avalanche" is a mission in Chapter 3 of Armored Core: For Answer.
Briefing[]
This will be your mission.
The client is Omer Science Technology. You're to destroy the Silent Avalanche force. They're stationed at Sphere, a BFF owned large-scale Kojima energy facility.
At one time, the Avalanche force was stronger than standard NEXTS. They are armed with high caliber, sniper cannons, which make for effective long range weapons. However, their machines are now considered obsolete.
There is a possibility the enemy will deploy ECM in defense, but don't let that slow you down. How you deal with it is up to you.
That is all.
With this job you can reinforce ties with Omer Science Technology. It should prove financially rewarding as well.

Strategy[]
Armored Core For Answer Defeat Silent Avalanche
You'll be fighting at the Sphere, a multi layered wilderness in the Artic. I advise against using light mechs (as they're too light on armor) and against blades.The key to a good ranking is to use the environment to you advantage. Your target is the silent avalanche force (the 048AC-S's), there will be other MT's and attack choppers around but you can just blast armored them (although I suggest taking out the choppers as their splitter missiles are constant and annoying!) The environment is layered and has raised and sunken bits-use them! The silent Avalanche troops have massive sniper cannons which hurt a lot when you get hit, and they're accurate too. Additionally, most of your targets are in good positions on the lowest level, so as you engage one group, another can snipe you, so the key is to hit and run. Strafe around and take down a group then pop below the raised bit to avoid fire, rinse and repeat. NOTE: Although Assault Armor will take out a group quickly, but I advise against it, without Primal Armor if you take a hit (and like rats, where you see one, more will hit you) it will be devastating. S rank advice: they key is to not get hit as the threshold is tight and the cannons are damaging, so use the above strategy and you shouldn't have too much trouble. HARD: On hard, it's the same as above but once you kill silent avalanche, two NEXTs ,Yei and Wis. Individually, they're not that impressive, however as a team, they're pretty effective. Yei is a good support unit with bountiful missiles and a sniper and Wis is a close quarter combat unit with decent speed. I recommend taking out all combat units in a certain area BEFORE finishing off silent avalanche and then engaging the NEXTs there so you don't take additional fire. If possible, engage Wis fast and then boost up the levels as Wis may have trouble getting up (at least momentarily) allowing a one on one engagement.
