Walkthrough[]

The tunnel is narrow and straight, making it a veritable sniper alley. It may be best to use long range snipers so the enemy has no chance to return fire. The mines, however, are harder to avoid. The mines planted on the passageways by the walls are easily avoided by just not straying to the sides, but there are still numerous mines lurking beneath the water surface. The latter cannot be detected before running into them, so your best bet is moving solely airborne. Boost to the top of the tunnel and forward to avoid as many of these as you can. It may be better to use a leg part that has good braking to avoid running into additional mines (alternatively, the hover booster extension will make it even easier). Therefore, it is extra beneficial to bring in a sniper AC, to minimize the distance you have to cover and thus the chances of setting off mines. The mines themselves do not inflict overly high damage, but they do incur moderate thermal stress, which might impede your movement somewhat. Still, with some decent sniping weaponry and long range FCS, you should be able to outrange the cannons at the other side of the tunnel, making the mission much easier as you only need to worry about not colliding with too many mines on your way.

Trivia[]

  • It's possible the hidden part IWATO's acquisition is tied to standing with Mirage at the time - if you're completing the mission without getting the part, check if your percentage of Mirage missions completed is over 30%. If it is, you may have to wait until your second time around to get this part.
  • The mines will also detect a hover AC floating over them, so boosting upwards is still required to avoid the mines.
