Djet Ptah (ジェド・プタハ Jedo putaha) is a mercenary who appears in mission 05-7 of Armored Core: Verdict Day.

Biography

Origin: Old Duman. Male, Age 34. A mercenary whose unusual career saw a meteoric rise in recent years. Before transitioning to the mercenary life, he worked in weapons R&D for EGF. Obsessed with tactics, his words frequently revealed a sense that combat is something between an experiment and a game. This habit earned him the disfavor of many of the mercs around him-- a fact which caused him little worry, given his open disdain for their opinions.

AC Ammit | Armaan

Ammit is a heavy tank leg type AC that is geared primarily for firepower and defense. Its weapons include an autocannon on the right arm, a sentry gun on the left arm, a KE shotgun on the right bay unit and a CE battle rifle on the left bay unit. The unit also has a shoulder TE based auto-attack gun, which it will deploy should an enemy try to get close. The unit sports high TE defense and good CE defense, but its KE defense is low.

The Japanese version calls the AC Armaan (アーマーン Āmān).

Gameplay

Djet Ptah is faced in the middle of the game, and is a bit of hurdle for new players. Geared primarily for close-to-mid range fights, Djet Ptah often employs sentry guns around himself to keep opponents at bay. Should they get close, he will use its autocannon and its shoulder mounted auto-attack gun to spray fire around him. The barrage of bullets at often near unavoidable due to them firing at every angle possible.

The best way to take care of Djet Ptah is to snipe away at him from a long distance as Djet Ptah lacks appropriate countermeasure against sniper attacks, not to mention his craft's low KE resistance makes him vulnerable to high power KE weapons. Thus, a high power sniper cannon is very effective in putting him down in no time. Using a tetrapod would make it all the more easier thanks to the tremendous boost in accuracy and recoil stability.
