Biography[]
Fanfare was one of the two Controller-affiliated Ravens who ambushed The Raven within the Magna Ruins. Plotting with Huntress, a Mirage-contracted Raven, he waited within the ruins for The Raven to face a number of Furyuku MTs before ambushing him/her. Viewing themselves as protectors to the state of life within Layered, the two aggressors fought bravely for their ideals. Despite outnumbering The Raven, the two were defeated.
He ambushes The Raven in the mission Investigate Magna Ruins and, along with Huntress, is defeated by the Raven. Dialogue throughout the mission suggests that Fanfare supported The Controller and viewed its opposition as the enemy.
Quotes[]
- Investigate Magna Ruins
- I knew they wouldn’t be enough. Rebels like yourself have outlived their uses. Thinking you could destroy The Controller...what a fool idea.
- (in Japanese)管理者を破壊する…馬鹿げたことを (Kanrisha o hakai suru… bakagetakoto o/Destroying the Controller...what stupid stuff).
- (When Defeated)Huaaaah!
AC Intrepid[]

AC Intrepid
Intrepid is a heavyweight bipedal AC equipped with an overboost core, extension turn boosters, a large rocket launcher, low trajectory missiles, a spread-shot howitzer and a handheld rocket launcher. The units mobility and energy capacity are also strengthened due to being equipped with OP-INTENSIFY. As a result Intrepid can be deceptively quick with Fanfare's extensions and overboost allowing him quite a bit of speed. Also with the exception of his ground torpedoes, Fanfare is one of the few AC pilots in the arena not dependent on lock on.

Gameplay[]
In-Game Information[]
Perfectly happy to wait out his opponents, Fanfare's AC is built to take whatever they can dish out and then some. He wins matches by never panicking and waiting until the other pilot slips up before moving in for the kill. The tactic serves him well.
Strategy[]
Fanfare will take a huge amount of damage without flinching, while patiently flinging bone-breaking rockets at you. His ability to stay in the air for extended periods of time is almost uncanny for such a heavy AC, a result of the OP-INTENSIFY backup. The almost constantly raising and lowering his altitude makes him a slightly harder target than your average heavyweight AC. He also uses turn boosters to pursue after flanking enemies more effectively, but they can do only so much against a proper lightweight AC, at which case you will be able to nail him down time and time again once he comes down for a recharge. Due to his use of rockets - which he is rather talented with - he is not dependent on lock on, though he will fire of ground torpedoes frequently. Outdamaging him during these spells of rocket use will lead you to victory. Be wary of the spread howitzer as well, which complements his rockets well - the combined rocket and howitzer firepower of Intrepid is not something most ACs are going to shrug off easily. It is advised that you use an AC capable of dodging his attacks as they are too powerful to simply stand there and take. Or if you insist on taking a beating, take the linear cannon and go to the Parking Lot, put your back to the wall and watch him. He'll make himself a very easy target as he attempts to flank you.
