Claizen is a Raven appearing in Armored Core 3. He is ranked D-2 in the Arena. He is partnered with Street Enemy in the Extra Arena and they hold the title of the eleventh highest ranked team.

Biography[]

Claizen was the Kisaragi hired AC that defended the furthest depths of Gran Mining Facility from Crest. Serving as the last man standing, he faced off against the combined forces of The Raven and Street Enemy, a former ally. While posing a considerable threat, he remained outnumbered and was defeated.

Born in the working class slums, he recently lost everything after his city sector was deemed unfit for habitation and closed. He typifies the average, blue-collar citizen trying to eke out a living under corporate oppression.

He appears under the Gran Mining Facility as an enemy in the mission Destroy Kisaragi Forces. He fights The Raven and Street Enemy. He is killed by The Raven.

Strategy[]

Claizen will fire rockets at you from afar and use his machine gun at close range, and will usually fire blade waves while he does so. Occasionally, he will also pop floating mines to deter players that attempt to force melee combat. Though his AC's somewhat heavy frame makes him an easy target, he can deal out a surprisingly high amount of damage at close range with his machine gun, so keeping a distance is advised, as he will resort to using his rockets at those ranges which are less accurate. Claizen does have high AP and defense, so battles with him are bound to be long, drawn-out affairs. Bring weapons that have high ammo count and good damage, and you won't have too difficult of a time dealing with Claizen.

In the mission Destroy Kisaragi Forces, Claizen is surprisingly competent. He will continually hop around while relentlessly bombarding you with machine gun fire as well as rockets, and also attempt to land a hit with his blade wave laser blade. Due to the enclosed space, Claizen is now more dangerous, as there's now little to no room or cover to avoid his machine gun shots, and the only way to go about it is to outclass him in a damage race. Though you do get assistance from Street Enemy, he isn't of much help, so don't count on it. Because of the earlier battle with the MTs, fighting Claizen might leave you at a disadvantage. It is possible to let Street Enemy take the lead and let him deal with Claizen first, but even then, Claizen is no longer a pushover like he was in the Arena. Take special care when engaging him as he will often target you rather than his rival.
