Street Enemy is a Raven appearing in Armored Core 3. He is affiliated with Global Cortex and ranked C-6 in the Arena. He is partnered with Claizen in the Extra Arena. Together, they hold the title of the eleventh ranked team.

Biography[]

Street Enemy was a Raven contracted by Crest to help clear out Gran Mining Facility of Kisaragi forces. Together with The Raven, the two pilots entered the facility destroying a fair number of Aix Fur and Gibbon MT units. While The Raven took the initiative and entered the lower levels of the facility, Street Enemy withstood an enemy assault at the entrance. After a few minutes of conflict, the two reunited below Gran Mining Facility to face off against the Kisaragi hired Raven, Claizen. Having had prior experience fighting alongside Claizen in the Extra Arena, Street Enemy was able to assist The Raven in defeating him. These actions and decisions were clear indicators of how his interest in fortune exceeded his care for friendship.

Static Man is a middleweight bipedal AC equipped with an overboost core, a small rocket launcher, a middle missile launcher, a rifle and a laser blade.

Gameplay[]

Street Enemy is a mandatory consort during the mission Destroy Kisaragi Forces. Depending on The Ravens' decision, he can either explore the underground level of the facility or defend its entrance. In either scenario, he succeeds in destroying the ambushing enemy forces. He then proceeds forward uniting with The Raven to defeat Claizen.

In the Arena, Street Enemy is ranked C-6 and can be challenged once the player reaches a Raven rank of C. Street Enemy acts as a possible consort during one of the game's final missions, Destroy Massive Weapon.

In-Game Information[]

Discontent with his impoverished upbringing, this pilot immersed himself in the criminal underworld, eventually rising to a position of wealth. He accepts missions based solely on their monetary value and greed rules his every waking hour.

Strategy[]

Although his AC configuration looks quite average or standard at first glance, do not be fooled. Street Enemy is a competent pilot, and he can and will give you problems if you toy around with him. He is smart enough to know which weapon to use at a given range, and is adept at using all of his weapons with alarming precision. Not to mention he's also good at flying, strafing and dodging slower attacks. Street Enemy is by no means a mere pushover and should not be taken lightly.

Because of his agility and dodging ability, it's generally not advisable to use a slow, heavy AC against him, as he is very competent at flanking and getting behind them. Instead, having a mobile, maneuverable AC is the way to go, so as to be able to keep up with Street Enemy's mobility. Although his weapons aren't particularly dangerous on their own, Street Enemy's competency at keeping at constant lock-on you as well as his accuracy can give you trouble. As such, damage racing will be a more effective strategy, as Street Enemy's AC has rather limited durability. Weapons like his own rifle, machine guns and rockets are effective against him. Missiles may also be viable, but his constant flying and bunny-hopping can make it difficult for the missiles to properly track him, so use them sparingly (only fire if a hit is guaranteed).

In summary, Street Enemy is essentially a skill-check opponent, he presents a fair challenge to all, both to newbies and pro players alike. He doesn't excel in any one particular area, but also has very few shortcomings. A well-rounded opponent overall.

Sadly, these traits do not carry over in the mission. Street Enemy does not offer much help in dealing with Claizen in the second half of the mission and he barely deals any damage to him in the tight space the battle is fought in. At best, he can help act as a distraction or meat shield, but otherwise he brings nothing much else to the table, so don't count on him helping you to win the fight.
