"Attack on Arteria Carpals" is a mission in Chapter 3 of Armored Core: For Answer.
Briefing[]

We're initiating the Closed Plan. Our NEXT forces will launch simultaneous attacks against core Arteria facilities.
Your target is the critical Arteria facility, Carpals. You are to take down Noblesse Oblige, who is defending the site.
The facility is protected by multiple defensive units. Effectively neutralizing them before Noblesse arrives will make things a bit easier on you.
We are the ORCA brigade, the most dangerous reactionary force in existance. And this is our grand entrance! Let's put on a show, gentlemen!

Walkthrough[]
Armored Core For Answer Attack on Arteria Carpals
The player is sent to eliminate the defensive emplacements of Carpals and to take control of the facility.
However, Despite the briefing, destroying the emplacements is but an optional operation. you can either ignore them and wait for Gerald to come, or you can kill time and destroy them and the Normals. Afterwards Gerald will arrive on the battlefield via Overboost using the road in front of the facility.
You can easily defeat him using dual maximum-charged Kojima cannons (or the Kojima heavy weapon arms); put yourself on the road and start charging your cannons, then fire when Noblesse will come in close.
He is overboosting, so he will not be able to dodge: if you hit, he will be immediately destroyed, otherwise purge the cannons and use a gatling cannon or machineguns or (if he's been severely damaged by the Kojima shots) even sniper rifles to take him down, just be sure to avoid his laser cannons' shots.
On Hard-Mode: After Gerald's defeat, A secondary NEXT will appear at the same location and overboosting pattern Gerald took. Meaning if you killed Gerald with the Kojima Cannon, you can repeat the action once more.
