While partnerships among mercenaries are not uncommon, instance of multi-generational family teams are largely unheard of. Gameplay[]

In comparison to his father’s AC Kraken, Tangaroa is somewhat a pushover. He’s only a problem if your craft harbors low TE defense; otherwise, Tangaroa is more of a nuisance than a real threat.

Like his father, Tangaroa will plant sentry guns around the battlefield while harrying you with his pulse machine gun. He’s not that different from Kraken in terms of fighting style, the only difference is he’s bound to be aerial more frequently due to his choice of reverse joint legs. But he’s ultimately cannon fodder to most weapons. Dual autocannons work well on him as he lacks appropriate countermeasures against rapid fire close range weapons, though he has the tendency to boost charge if you’re directly in front of him. There’s a downside to this though, since Tangaroa’s main weapons are all energy-based, he will tend to deplete his energy reserves rather quickly which leaves him with no energy to hi-boost or charge attack. Take advantage of that & pound him repeatedly, he should be no tougher to bring down than his father.
