Briefing[]

Let's confirm the mission

You're to raid the Interior squadron occupying Gryphon, the Independent City. Destroy their entire force and take back the city.

Their core force appears to be a group of Normals, but an array of additional firepower has also been confirmed.

Of particular concern is Interior's latest creation, the aerial fortress Fermi, which combines Melies large-model laser cannons with a Primal Armor mechanism.

Those are your orders.

Overview[]

The player is air-dropped into Gryphon at night, and is tasked with destroying Interior's aerial fortress. The fortress is heavily armed and armored, and is difficult to properly target in the darkness. The player is able to alleviate this somewhat by destroying the Kojima transport trucks found throughout the city, which in turn will start a small Kojima fire and emit light. Despite what is said in the mission briefing, the player only has to destroy the Fermi aerial fortress to complete the mission, and the other enemy forces can be ignored.

Hard Mode Differences: Once the first aerial fortress is destroyed, three more will appear back at the player's starting location. Fighting multiple aerial fortresses simultaneously can prove extremely difficult, but they must all be destroyed in order to complete the mission.
