Furlong Dynamics is a manufacturer of Armored Core parts in ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON. Their specialty lies in rocketry and guidance systems, making them a prolific manufacturer of missiles, boosters, and fire control systems.
Background[]
Furlong Dynamics has a long history as a weapons manufacturer, but over time it opted to specialize in missile development and has since become a leader in that field. Years ago, Furlong became involved in a conflict with rival corporation Balam Industries known as the Jupiter War, which was centered on the Jupiter colonies in the Sol system. The commander of the Furlong Armed Fleet achieved great success in battle and earned the moniker "the Hero of Jupiter" before he retired from Furlong and joined Balam to lead its new AC squad, the Redguns.
During the Coral War on Rubicon 3, Furlong avoided any direct involvement in the conflict for the planet's Coral and presented itself as a neutral party, but it did maintain the interests to monitor Balam and Arquebus Corporation's activities.[1] It is implied that Furlong deliberately undermined the other corporations efforts by providing covert assistance to the Rubicon Liberation Front, arranging a deal with the RLF to provide technical expertise with Elcano Foundry to help produce the AC STEEL HAZE ORTUS.[2]
Parts[]
Furlong Dynamics has the biggest selection of missile delivery systems, along with modern FCS units with fast single and multi lock-on time for missiles. They also produce boosters with balanced stats all-around.

Trivia[]
- Their name was first shown in the June 15, 2023 4-minute gameplay preview.[3]
- The name "Furlong," comes from an old unit of measurement, translating to an eighth of a mile, or 220 yards. This is likely to reinforce their role as rocket and guidance manufacturers.
- Their logo depicts Chiron, the legendary centaur archer and mentor of Achilles. It's also known as the Sagittarius, the 9th astrological sign and a constellation, which is why their logo also depicts stars alongside the centaur.

Speculation[]
The following information is "gray area" content — it may not be completely factual, and/or falls under YMMV territory.
- G1 Michigan during his tenure as the commander of the Furlong Armed Fleet had also earned the moniker "Hell on Four Legs." Given that his current set of tetrapod legs were commissioned by the Redguns (implied to be Michigan himself), it is unlikely that Michigan donned Balam's tetrapod legs during the Jupiter War.
- Given that Furlong was able to lend technical assistance to Elcano for the creation of the ALBA model, it is plausible that Furlong has produced AC frame parts, including tetrapod legs for Michigan's use.
