G4 Volta is a Redguns Armored Core pilot active on the planet Rubicon 3 during the Coral War. Due to his belligerent attitude, he and G5 Iguazu are personally being disciplined by their CO: G1 Michigan, in order to give them a purpose. He and Iguazu are both friends due to their predicament, signified by their casual attitude towards each other and beetle-themed emblems.
Both he and Iguazu made a pact of punching the living daylights out of Michigan and leave the Redguns for good. Eventually, Volta saw this feat as impossible and resigned himself to learning about business from G3 Wu Huahai. Despite his apparent hatred for his commander, Volta legitimately appreciates Michigan's efforts to reform both them, even asking Iguazu to give Michigan a chance.
Volta however, met his end during Balam's attempt to climb The Wall, which he correctly deemed "suicidal".
He is ranked 17/C in ALLMIND's virtual Arena.

AC CANNON HEAD[]
Volta uses a dark green heavyweight tank-build AC with full TIAN-QIANG head, arms, and core from Dafeng Core Industry mounted on the BORNEMISSZA tank legs, armed primarily with explosive weaponry. A grenade launcher is mounted on the right hand, a shotgun on the left hand, and a split missile launcher and grenade cannon rest on the shoulders.
CANNON HEAD is able to take down 14 BAWS Tetrapod MTs before Volta dies.

In ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON, G4 Volta is an NPC that can be fought in the Records division of the Arena. He is also an allied NPC in "Attack the Dam Complex" and can become hostile depending on the player's choice in the Alt Mission equivalent.

Gun Four of the Redguns, the Balam Group's AC squad. After beating the rebellious Volta and Iguazu into submission, Michigan made it his personal crusade to make something of the two, and thus began their daily hell. |

Trivia[]
- Volta's AC wreck near The Wall is surrounded by MTs that are the targets for Loghunt entries (which are indirectly involved with ALLMIND). The fact that his transmission also abruptly ended mid-conversation before being destroyed implies ALLMIND was involved with his assassination, considering she herself was proven to be able to block and intercept radio communications when needed.
- Volta with his heavy and powerful CANNON HEAD is one place higher than Rokumonsen who uses the lightweight AC SHINOBI, forcing players to use other strategies when climbing on the arena.
- Volta's line "仕事を増やすんじゃねえ、殺すぞ (Next time you pull that shit, I'll kill you.)" somehow becomes popular in Japan as people hate getting more jobs to do at workplace when they are already tired about long work hours.
- Volta is the only Redguns member who doesn't use the BST-G2/P04 booster as CANNON HEAD is a tank type AC.
