The GAN01-SUNSHINE is a GA heavy bipedal NEXT model in Armored Core 4 and Armored Core: For Answer.
Summary[]
A heavyweight unit, the SUNSHINE is a representation of GA's greatest strengths: durability and firepower. It has high AP for its class, great resistance to solid ammunition, and high tolerances. With heavy armor and multiple solid shell weapons and missiles, the SUNSHINE is a versatile unit capable of taking on most targets from close to mid-range and serves well as a support unit. It does, however, suffer from lower mobility and low energy defense ratings, as well as having relatively weak Primal Armor. Not many LYNXs use this model, except for Menno Ruh and her Primitive Light. On the upside though, the SUNSHINE paved the way for arguably more popular (and versatile) variants such as the SUNSHINE-L and the SUNSHINE-E. Before and during the National Dismantlement War, the SUNSHINE served as GA America's main NEXT; by the time of Armored Core: For Answer, only a few Lynx use this model, as most now pilot GA's newer model, the GAN02-NEW-SUNSHINE.
Variants[]
- GAN01-SUNSHINE-L: Lighter-weight limbs, generator, & main booster make for a more user-friendly middleweight design, sacrificing some of the SUNSHINE's durability for much-needed improvements in mobility and combat adaptability.
- GAN01-SUNSHINE-E: A variant of the SUNSHINE-L, mounting the powerful GAN01-SS-AW bazooka weapon arms.
- GAEN01-STARLET: Tetrapod variant produced by GA's European branch-turned-competitor.
- KIRITUMI: An even heavier tank variant produced by Arisawa Heavy Industries, using their KIRITUMI-L tank legs and a more heavily armored head unit.
Users[]
- Mennoh Ruh (AC: Primitive Light)
Note[]
The weapons included are part of the original schematic during the LYNX War. Later releases of this schematic leave the weapon units empty to allow for user customization.
