Grid 086 is a location on the Western Belius area of the planet Rubicon 3.
Overview[]
Grid 086 is one of many towering "grid" structures on Rubicon, made up of incomprehensively massive pillars supporting sprawling rail networks, all covered by metal shells so massive they blot out the sky. Grid 086 is the home of the Doser faction and weapons manufacturer Reuse and Development, and likewise appears to be a combination of mining platform, metal foundry, and transport network. The outer shell of the grid is also home to an intercontinental cargo launcher, which magnetically accelerates collections of rocket-propelled containers across huge distances. However, this upper area is monitored by the PCA's orbital satellies, autonomous defense weapons, and the IA-13: SEA SPIDER.
Gameplay[]
In ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON, Grid 086 is separated into the main Grid 086 stage and the outer shell (labelled in-game as "Upper Grid 086, Outer Shell" and "Upper Grid 086; Outer Shell").
The main Grid 086 is the stage for the Chapter 2 missions "Infiltrate Grid 086," "Eliminate the Doser Faction," and "Stop the Secret Data Breach." The first of the three is the most expansive, involving an almost open-world experience with a massive amount of side paths.
Upper Grid 086 is the stage for the final Chapter 2 mission, "Ocean Crossing," as well as being one of the stages in the game's multiplayer mode, NEST.
