Haunted is one of the rare few who knows exactly what they want and possess the innate ability to effortlessly realize their goal. He reached his current rank shortly after joining the Arena and is considered the best long-range combatant.
Strategy[]
The key to defeating him is to avoid his missile salvos as this is the weapon he relies during most of the battle. To avoid the missiles, bring missile decoys or have a core with good AMS capability. He will usually fire them while ground boosting towards you and glide-strafing to avoid your shots. If you get too close to him, he will then use his grenade launcher, which can deal serious damage, so do your best avoid being hit by that. The best way to avoid this is to stay at a certain distance from him, as it will then make it harder for him to hit with his grenades and will force him to rely on his missiles instead.
He hardly uses his right hand sniper rifle so that's not really a concern. It's his missiles and grenades that you should look out for, also note that he has a left arm sniper rifle which he will frequently use to snipe at you while you are dodging his missiles. Weapons best recommended to use against him are moderately powerful weapons or high DPS weapons. They include his own rifles, handguns, missile launchers with good homing ability or machine guns. He tends to keep a distance from you so close range combat is advised, though you will have to watch out for his grenade launcher in this case. Missiles work against him too but note that he also uses missile decoys himself, so use them sparingly.
