"Investigate BAWS Arsenal No. 2" is a mission in Chapter 1 of ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON. It is one of two mandatory missions unlocked alongside "Retrieve Combat Logs" or "Prisoner Rescue," after completing "Operation Wallclimber." The mission is replaced by "Obstruct the Mandatory Inspection" if the player chose to complete "Escort the Weaponized Mining Ship."

Walkthrough[]

The mission begins with the player overlooking BAWS Arsenal No. 2 on a cliffface, the arsenal overrun with stealth mechs with cloaking technology. Upon entering the Arsenal, once reaching a spacious open area, a stealth mech will begin firing the player AC from afar. Players should immediately and aggressively engage with the stealth mech as after a certain period of time, the mechs are able cloak themselves and reappear from a different location.

Ahead of the stealth mech's initial location towards the right will be the "BAWS Guard's Last Words" data log, guarded by a concealed mech laying in ambush. Use the scanner to detect stealth mechs in wait.

Further ahead will be another ambush in another open area marked by circular construction work, a stealth mech will be concealed around the corner and another is perched atop a building.

Deeper in the Arsenal, the "Dolmayan's Writings (5)" data log can be found atop the cranes holding the circular construction work.

Once the player enters through a gate inside the Arsenal interior, three stealth mechs will appear behind the player in ambush, one mech engaging in melee combat and the other two are snipers perched on construction work outside.

After dispatching the mechs, the player will enter deeper into the Arsenal to find a Coral well hidden by BAWS, dropping to the bottom of the well to exam it further will prompt the final ambush by the stealth mechs. There are four stealth mechs, one specialized in melee with pulse armor and the other three are snipers each perched on a wall. It is recommended that the snipers are prioritized first, as they have relatively low HP and will constantly cloak to change positions.

The mech with pulse armor is highly resilient, but will suffer from ACS overload once their pulse armor is broken through. Should the player have difficulties with the pulse armor, weapons with high PA interference such as the HI-32: BU-TT/A will break through the pulse armor with relative ease.
