Biography[]
She contacts Handler Walter to hire 621 to eliminate Planetary Closure Administration inspection squads on BAWS Arsenal No. 2. When encountered, Kate gives nothing but praises and encouragement to Raven, while also fighting alongside them in her TRANSCRIBER.
Walter considers the fact that a mercenary hiring another for a job strange, but accepts Kate's request anyways. Throughout the mission, Walter tries to obtain more information about her and he discovers that she is unregistered, even in the Arena. He also becomes suspicious once Kate rendezvous with Raven and leads an attack on PCA special forces that were also operating near the Arsenal.
Once the mission is completed, Walter contacts "Cinder" Carla to help him obtain intel on Kate, as her actions made her seem quite suspicious.
Alea Iacta Est ending[]
Kate Markson's voice is heard inside of ALLMIND's voice during this ending, directly revealing her to be a part of the AI, and also most likely a cover identity used by the AI herself.

Trivia[]
- The Integration Subject 51-002 K in the Analysis section of the Arena is labeled to have "an AI that benefits from the breadth of ALLMIND's research archives". This likely refers to Kate Markson, who is discovered in the Alea Iacta Est route to be a part of ALLMIND, along with it being hinted through her continuous involvement with ALLMIND's goals.
- Kate is also likely revealed to actually be ALLMIND as she simply pitches her voice up when communicating as Kate Markson. Unlike Sulla and O'Keefe, who are also affiliated with ALLMIND, Kate's AC uses exclusively ALLMIND parts. Kate Markson also technically "shows up" after the player has helped ALLMIND with the MIND BETA analysis, where ALLMIND anticipates that the model "can autonomously operate at the same level as a highly skilled mercenary".
- Her appearance is the first sign of the Alea Iacta Est ending.
- She is not present in the Records section of the Arena, as remarked by Handler Walter. The only other mercenary with this distinction was Monkey Gordo, whose license was passed over during Illegal Entry as it had no rank attached. Her AC, TRANSCRIBER, does show up under the Analysis devision of the Arena, under Integration Subject 51-002 K MIND BETA, which is mentioned in possessing an AI that can operate autonomously at the level of a highly-skilled mercenary.
- Kate Markson shows up in the data log Video Record: BAWS Guard's Last Words, hinting towards the fact that Kate was the one who originally wiped out the BAWS facility, hence why it was desolate in the mission Investigate BAWS Arsenal No. 2.
