Kiyohime was a mercenary who appears in mission 06-4 Armored Core: Verdict Day.


Origin: Samir Canyon. Female, age 30.

Member of the mercenary collective "The Iron Path," where she held the instructor class rank of "Dragon."

Members in the upper ranks are thought to have undergone extensive training and mastered a number of the fundamental truths of combat, which they then pass on to disciples of their choosing. Her speciality lay in one-on-one AC combat.

She was killed in action fighting against the Lone Mercenary on Route N64.

AC Sotei IIEdit

Kiyohime's Armored Core, Sotei II, is a tetrapod type focused on mid- to long-range combat. To that extent, its main armaments are a Murasaki mdl.2 laser rifle and a Kuretake mdl.1 sniper rifle. Complimenting these are a Kurenai mdl.2 shotgun and a powerful Au-F-K16 H.E.A.T. howitzer, allowing Sotei II to deal with enemies attempting to force a close-range brawl. Finally, a payload of large Su-G-Q01 KE missiles allows Sotei II to seriously damage and stagger its opponents while picking them off from afar with sniper fire.

Sotei II is fought around mid-to-late in the game, and is one of the more challenging opponents to face for starters. A well-balanced tetrapod type craft that is equipped with weapons for any range of combat and decent defense stats, Sotei II is not one to be trifled with in combat.

From afar, Sotei II uses its light model KURETAKE mdl.1 sniper rifle and a second generation MURASAKI mdl.2 laser rifle, both of which can deal potent damage from mid-to-long range. Should an opponent attempt to force close range combat, Sotei II will switch to her close range weapons, which include a rapid fire KURENAI mdl.2 KE shotgun as well as an Au-F-K16 Heat howitzer. However, Sotei II's most dangerous weapon of all is her shoulder weapon: the Su-G-Q01 large missile launcher that can deal tremendous amounts of damage to even high KE focused ACs.

Sotei II also possesses balanced defense stats, rendering meager, conventional firepower ineffective against her. Despite this, Sotei II is not unbeatable, as she still lacks the damage resistance necessary to withstand sustained firepower and punishment. Namely, she lacks rather heavily in TE defense among all 3 damage types, so high power TE weapons such as laser rifles are effective against her. In fact, even high power KE rifles can also deal good damage against her, such as the AM/RFB-215 rifle which can be tuned to about 1500+ KE damage, this can easily surpass her 1300+ KE resistance.

It is advised to use CIWS to counter her large missile shots, since the area you fight her on is wide open and leaves very little area for cover, making you more vulnerable to getting hit. However, this in turn also leaves Sotei II vulnerable to punishment so don't pull any punches.
