Leon Dantess is a character that appears in Armored Core V. He is the second-in-command of the Resistance, after Fran, their leader, and covers for her during operations.

Biography

Leon was once a well-known martial artist in The City, and served as the ace pilot of a Migrant group. During Don Tyrell's campaign to take control of The City, Leon battled against Jack Batty multiple times. He suffered a decisive defeat during their second bout, leaving him with near-fatal injuries, though he was saved by Rosary. However, due to his failure, he was banished from his Migrant group and was forced to live amongst the lowest caste of The City's population, suffering under Tyrell's apartheid.

A few years later, he decided to join the Resistance to overthrow Tyrell, now known as Father. Though he later learned that Jack Batty was the leader, he did not choose to pursue revenge and instead served loyally as Jack's right hand man until Jack's death at the conclusion of the First Rebellion. Leon assumed on-site command of the Resistance as Jack's daughter Fran was too inexperienced to lead, and began plotting a new offensive that would come to be known as the Second Rebellion.

During the Second Rebellion, Leon gathered allies such as Rosary and RD as well as the mercenary who had fought against Jack during the First Rebellion. He served as Fran's adjutant and advisor, patiently encouraging her and taking charge when her inexperience would paralyze her command. Leon also immediately recognized the value of RD's keen sense of danger, and put much stock into his warnings.

Finally, he led a strike team into Father's HQ, and succeeded in securing him as a captive. However, the Corporation launched an indiscriminate attack on the building, killing both Leon and Father.

Trivia

• His name is a reference to Leon Kowalski from Blade Runner, a replicant who is part of Roy Batty's group.
