The first energy shotgun in the series, MWG-GS/54 is arguably the most powerful shotgun in Armored Core 3, especially when empowered with the OP-SP/E++ optional part. It also boasts the longest range and the highest rate of fire among the shotguns in this game. The weapon's firepower is most notably limited by the active energy consumption.

- This part is known as the WR15S-WYVERN in Armored Core Nexus and beyond.
- Due to its nature as a short-ranged energy weapon, the GS/54 best paired with an energy-based EO core, loaded with the optional parts that enhance energy weapon performance: the aforementioned OP-SP/E++, as well as OP-E/RTE and OP-TQ/CE. Deployed together in short bursts at close range, they can inflict large amounts of damage on any enemy too slow to escape the combined beam barrage. The same is true for all energy shotguns.
