Unlike its predecessor, this incarnation of the FINGER is extremely weak, unable to generally destroy an AC with its limited ammo capacity and low damage. It fires like a shotgun (firing four bullets instead of five like the original) but the spread is tight. Ultimately it's more of a reward weapon than anything else.

- The MWG-MG/FINGER is the first remake weapon in Armored Core series, being based around the WA-FINGER (save for the KARASAWA line of Laser Rifles and the MOONLIGHT series of blades) from the original set of games.
- This gun is the first "official" remade part in the game's history (excluding the new versions of the KARASAWA and MOONLIGHT). The trend would continue in later games, such as Nexus, Ninebreaker and Last Raven.
- In Armored Core: Nexus and beyond, this part is renamed the WH03M-FINGER, and unlike before, this weapon can be used as right and left arm weapons, making it deadly in close combat when the FINGERs are dual-wielded.
