In-game information[]
Combat zone: Southern Belius - Contaminated City Objective: Escort Client |
Objectives[]
- Assist POW rescue mission and escort helicopter
- Escort helicopter until it exits zone
- Defeat G2 Nile/Balam MT squad
- Escort helicopter until it exits zone
Walkthrough[]
The mission is wholly centered around escorting the RLF helicopter and therefore paramount to minimize damage to it given that there are no checkpoints in the mission; failure will result in restarting the mission.
The mission begins outside the Contaminated City, where the RLF chopper will fly to three Sites for prisoner extraction marked by red flares. The Site A poses little threat to the helicopter and the player may detour to the left slightly beyond a concrete platform to find a Tetrapod MT marked by LOGHUNT equipped with spread bazookas and gatling guns. Dispatch it quickly to return to the chopper and eliminate any MTs harassing it.
The player should be proactive in escorting the RLF chopper as all threats will occur from where the helicopter is heading. Head towards Site B clearing any enemies at the site and along the way. Three MTs deployed by air will attempt to intercept but are easily dispatched. Once the chopper arrives at Site B, three laser drones will arrive and are marked, use Assault Boost to intercept them as quickly as possible.
The path to Site C is the most treacherous, following the road towards the next flare will lead to two gatling cannons with frontal shields which can annihilate the helicopter if not dealt with preemptively. Further ahead will be four surface-to-air missile launchers, which poses a threat if left alone. An MT squad aboard a helicopter will intercept, but can be summarily destroyed by targeting their transport.
G2 Nile[]
Once the RLF helicopter attempts to leave the combat zone, G2 Nile along with several Balam MTs will ambush the chopper. It is highly recommended to eliminate the MTs first as they prioritize attacking the helicopter. G2 Nile will focus their attention on the player once any damage is inflicted and will leave the helicopter in relative peace when the MTs are eliminated.
G2 Nile pilots DEEP DOWN, a fairly heavy AC equipped with several missile launchers, a LR-037 HARRIS linear rifle, but only a single repair kit. Be wary of the Harris' charged shot as it can inflict heavy damage and ACS impact, especially when ACS overloaded. Their Pulse Armor can be mitigated overtime as the player can take the time ensure the helicopter is clear of harassers.
Collectibles[]
- LOGHUNT:
- 1 BAWS Tetrapod MT (Silver)
- G2 Nile (Platinum)

| Briefing | Handler Walter: Got a job for you, 621. This request comes from the Rubicon Liberation Front. Rubicon Liberation Front: Raven. There's a mission I'd like you to take on. We have authorized a solo helicopter sortie to rescue a group of imprisoned comrades. There are three to rescue in total, including some particularly significant personnel. Raven. We hope our struggle will inspire you to aid the Liberation Front's cause. Coral, abide with Rubicon! |

| Helicopter arrives at Site A | RLF Helicopter Pilot: Landing at Site A. Commencing extraction of Comrade Ziyi. Handler Walter: 621. Secure the area. |
- | - |
| Helicopter extracts from Site A | Little Ziyi: You... You came for me... RLF Helicopter Pilot: Sorry to keep you waiting, Ziyi. Little Ziyi: I'm okay... Still alive, at least... A little rest...and I'll pay 'em back... RLF Helicopter Pilot: Heading for the next site, Raven. Keep us covered. |

| Helicopter extracts from Site B | RLF Helicopter Pilot: What?! No...! We've extracted Comrade Messam... ...But we were too late. Little Ziyi: Damn it! Not Messam...! | Balam reinforcements arrive | Balam MT Squad Member: Enemy sighted! They've already taken two of the prisoners! Balam MT Squad Leader: Their escort AC means business, too. | Helicopter extracts from Site C | RLF Helicopter Pilot: Father Dolmayan has been extracted. Little Ziyi: Thank goodness you're safe, Father. Coral, abide with Rubicon! Thumb Dolmayan: You... You don't know what you're saying, girl... There'll be nothing left...but dying embers... RLF Helicopter Pilot: ...Mission accomplished. Leaving the combat area. Handler Walter: 621. New enemy confirmed. RLF Helicopter Pilot: That's... That's a Redguns AC! |
- | - |
| Engaging Redguns AC | G2 Nile: Escorting a prison break all alone? You're daring, I'll give you that. But I've fried bigger fish than you. Handler Walter: ...That's G2 Nile. The Redguns' deputy commander... and the brains to Michigan's muscle. RLF Helicopter Pilot: It's too dangerous to force our way through... Raven, secure the escape route! |
- | - |
| Helicopter's AP falls to ~70% | RLF Helicopter Pilot: Ngh... We're getting hit! Raven, keep us safe! | - | - |

- | - |
| - | G2 Nile: Lost your nerve? Pathetic, G13. What did Michigan see in you? | - | - |
| - | G2 Nile: Seems you're more than just reckless. Why side with the underdogs—pity? | - | - |
| Helicopter under heavy fire | Handler Walter: 621. The chopper is under attack. RLF Helicopter Pilot: Raven! We need fire support! |
- | - |
| Player AC destroyed | G2 Nile: You're finished. Looks like "G13" just became vacant again. I hear it's a lucky number. | - | - |
| Defeating G2 Nile | G2 Nile: Heh... No wonder Michigan took a shine to you... Handler Walter: Confirmed. G2 Nile is down. ...Well done, 621. |
- | - |
| Balam forces defeated | RLF Helicopter Pilot: They won't have anything left to throw at us now... Thanks for the support, Raven. Handler Walter: Confirmed. The chopper has exited the combat zone. Mission accomplished. Thumb Dolmayan: "Raven..." A symbol of resolve... But mark my words— there'll be nothing left but dying embers! |

| Post-mission conversation (If "Investigate BAWS Arsenal No. 2" has been completed) | "Cinder" Carla: Long time no see, Walter. Looking good for a change. I see you got a new augmented human. What happened to 617 and the rest? Handler Walter: Their jobs. They did what it took to get us here. "Cinder" Carla: ...Huh. So how's the newcomer doing? Handler Walter: Adequately. But Gen Four augmentation can be unstable. We need to choose our battles. ...How's things on your end? "Cinder" Carla: I found the data our "friends" left behind. There's something promising in the Watchpoint. |

| Post-mission conversation (If "Obstruct the Mandatory Inspection" has been completed) | "Cinder" Carla: Long time no see, Walter. Looking good for a change. I see you got a new augmented human. What happened to 617 and the rest? Handler Walter: Their jobs. They did what it took to get us here. "Cinder" Carla: ...Huh. So how's the newcomer doing? Handler Walter: Relatively stable, it seems. But we've run into someone shady. "Cinder" Carla: Someone you want me to look into. Handler Walter: Yeah. Independent mercenary. Goes by "Kate." |
- | - |
| Debriefing (If "Investigate BAWS Arsenal No. 2" or "Obstruct the Mandatory Inspection" is completed first) | COM: One new message. (Two new messages.) Rubicon Liberation Front: Let me thank you again, Raven. We couldn't have rescued our comrades without your help. Father Dolmayan is a key figure to the movement. A great Coral Warrior who witnessed the Fires of Ibis, and a guide to us all... But now, it seems like he's... ...No, I shouldn't. He carries a heavier burden than any of us. Oh, and a personal note before you go. Thanks for saving Ziyi. I owe you one. (Handler Walter: ...Got a job for you, 621. This request doesn't come from the corps or the Liberation Front. You'll see when you check the briefing.) |
