Pulse Protection is a defensive technology in ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON.
"Creates a pulse barrier in a fixed position, providing cover from enemy fire until the barrier reaches its durability limit. The barrier is not permanent and will disappear after time has passed."
General[]
Pulse Protection generates a large spherical energy barrier that stays in place and will block all enemy projectile and beam attacks from the outside. Due to the size of the barrier, multiple allied units can take cover inside the barrier to protect themselves. This energy field has limited durability and duration, and will collapse when enough damage has been dealt to it, or when its duration expires.
Unlike Pulse Armor, Pulse Protection does not defend against melee attacks, nor against attacks from enemies also inside the barrier.
Expansion[]
Players have access to Pulse Protection as an Expansion part, unlocked from OS Tuning. When activated, it generates a stationary pulse barrier that can absorb up to 7,000 damage for 25 seconds. At maximum level, Pulse Armor can hold up to three charges per mission, though they can be replenished by a Supply Sherpa.
Level | OST Chips | Effect |

Level 2 | 4 | Additional Charges: Pulse Protection |
Enemies[]
Certain enemy Muscle Tracers and drones can use Pulse Protection, though their version has a much larger radius with increased durability.
Vulnerabilities[]
Certain weapons can possess the "P.A. Interference" stat, which increases the damage said weapons deal against Pulse barriers. Ranged Pulse weapons, namely the HI-16: GU-Q1, HI-18: GU-A2, and the KRANICH/60Z have the highest P.A. Interference stats and are thus most effective against Pulse Protection. However, Coral weapons and most melee weapons also have P.A. Interference as well, though not to the same degree as Pulse guns do.

Trivia[]
- If an AC is using a Coral generator like the IA-C01G: AORTA, the color of the Pulse Protection will change from bluish-green to a bright red.
