Gameplay[]

In-Game Information[]

Not one to take part in mission assignments, he favors the intense action of head-to-head Arena combat to the exclusion of everything else. He pilots a heavy AC decked out with high power weapons and shows no mercy once a match begins.

Strategy[]

This guy is definitely not one you want to trifle with in a fight. He's aggressive and will fire his grenade launchers at will once he has a lock-on, and will also resort to using missiles in between turns. His low mobility is countered by his overboosting capability, he has turn booster extensions which allows him to avoid being outmaneuvered, so he cannot be beaten in a conventional way of dealing with tank ACs.

He is also equipped with missile decoys, and is sure to use them once missiles are fired at him, so even missile weapons are nearly rendered useless against him. On top of this, with all the other countermeasures he is fitted with to cover up for his weaknesses of a tank AC, he is definitely a force to be reckoned with.

The strategy of facing him would be to avoid his grenade launcher, as this is the weapon he mostly relies on in battle. Though the weapon is designed more for mid-to-long range combat, he too, like most ACs equipped with grenade launcher weapons, likes to get up close and personal with it, so it is best to maintain a safe distance between you and him. Unlike majority of the tank ACs, Revolution is fairly mobile and can even fly for extended periods of time thanks to the aid of OP-INTENSIFY, so he can be as dangerous as a bipedal AC, albeit with hefty defense and firepower.

Besides avoiding his grenade launcher, be sure to avert the threat of his missiles too, as they not only deal a lot of damage, but it can also overheat your AC with just a few hits. The missiles can be affected by anti-misslles or decoys, so they work against him. Another notable strategy is to equip the OP-ECMP optional part, which sends out missile lock-on cancellation pulses, so he cannot have more than one lock-on when he's using his missiles, which makes it easier to avoid this attack.

As mentioned earlier, he is equipped with missile decoys so conventional missile type weapons won't work on him, furthermore he too has the missile jammer optional part equipped (even though OP-INTENSIFY takes up all of the optional parts and he shouldn't be able to fit any other optional parts) so multi-lock missiles won't work on him either.

The best way to face him would be to simply equip long-range weapons and snipe him from a safe distance. If he attempts to get too close, overboost away from him, as even for a tank it takes a while for them to catch up. When he uses his grenades, try to predict where the shots will go and dodge them. If he switches to his missiles, pull out your decoys (if you have them) or if you have the missile jammer optional part equipped simply wait for him to fire and dodge the incoming missiles. Keep repeating this strategy until he's emitting smoke from his AC.

Etymology[]

The name Revolution refers to a fundamental change in power or organizational structures that takes place in a relatively short period of time.
