The Rubicon Liberation Front is an organization on the planet Rubicon 3. Composed of the original colonists that survived the Fires of Ibis and their descendants, the RLF hold a religious devotion towards Coral. They want to reclaim their ravaged home and drive out both corporations and the Planetary Closure Administration out of it.
They mainly arm themselves with weapons, MTs and ACs supplied and scavenged by BAWS and RaD; for example, the AC weapon MA-J-201 RANSETSU-AR is mass-produced for their recruits.[1] Combat personnel such as their AC pilots and the crew of the STRIDER are called "Coral Warriors."[2][3]
Their slogan is "Coral, Abide with Rubicon!" as well as "Forged in ash, we stand as one!" Their full hymn as stated by Thumb Dolmayan was "Coral, abide with Rubicon. Coral, endure within us all. For none of us shall cast the die."

Trivia[]
- Their name was shown in Issue 357 of Game Informer.[1]
- All main members of the Rubicon Liberation front are named after fingers on a hand. (Thumb, Index, Middle, Ring, Little)
- It is also implied that their personal names/surnames are references to famous actors, singers, and celebrities in the arts; Thumb Dolmayan being named for System of A Down's drummer John Dolmayan, Index Dunham being named after Lena Dunham, Ring Freddie referencing Freddie Mercury, and Little Ziyi being a reference to Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi. Also, Arshile may refer to film director Arshile Egoyan, or Arshile Gorky, expressionist painter.
- All RLF AC pilots use banners in their emblems to symbolize their allegiance to the organization. When V.IV Rusty publicly breaks away from the Vespers, his emblem switches from the Vespers' trademark shield to the RLF's banner format.[7]
- "For none of us shall cast the die" references the Rubicon river, wherein Julius Caesar declared "alea iacta est" (the die is cast) before crossing the river, which was considered a dangerous point of no return. This echoes Thumb Dolmayan's belief that the Coral being set free would be an irreversible action that would result in disaster.
- Promotional material description:[8]
