Scutum D-type
Scutum is the unofficial fan name for a large manned heavy armor humanoid MT that appears in Armored Core 3.
Overview[]
The Scutum unit is a manned humanoid MT quite larger than the average AC. Its only weapon is a large rocket launcher wielded in its right arm. It also carries a large shield in its left arm which gives it a greater degree of endurance to attacks. The unit tends to remain stationary while in combat but features boosters that allow for it to move when needed.
There are two variants of the MT featuring different colors. The standard yellow colored Scutum is the D-type version. The light blue colored Scutum is the C-type version. Other than the colors, there are no distinguishing features between the two.

The Scutum is also used by the consort, Spartan. His version of the unit, MT Tempest, boasts a much higher level of performance.
