Information[]

A sore loser who can’t stand defeat, he prefers to blame his losses on malfunctioning equipment, bad timing, or any other excuse he can come up with on the fly. His arrogance is matched only by his bullheadedness.

In the mission "Distract Security Team," if the player destroys the car all the way at the other end of the highway, Shooting Star will attack the player instead of security units.

He is partnered with Little Bear in the Extra Arena and they hold the title of the fourteenth highest ranked team.

Strategy[]

There isn't much need for strategy here: basic anti-AC builds work quite nicely against this AC and it's not that well armored or equipped. He'll fall fairly quickly and won't put up much of a fight in the end.

In the mission you fight him in, however, Shooting Star is much aggressive in his attack patterns and unlike in the Arena, he actively uses his EO and pulse rifle in conjunction with one another, this can easily shred AP within mere seconds, so it is paramount that you have the mobility to dodge the shots. He also tends to peg you with rockets while recovering energy. The area you fight him in is rather confined, so it makes you more prone to getting hit. Additionally. he will also resort to blading you if you stray too close to him (and he can spam his blade up close, which makes it generally inadvisable to engage him in blade combat.

For this reason, staying at a distance will help as his accuracy diminishes at longer ranges, and since he doesn't harbor a lot of defense or AP thanks to his lightweight frame, heavier weapons are recommended to use on him.
