Let's confirm the mission
Silent Avalanche, the security unit at the former BFF's Kojima energy facility, Sphere, has persisted in resisting. We need you to eliminate them.
BFF put their pride and all of their resources on the line to build Sphere. It's the largest facility of its kind and filled with cutting-edge Kojima technology.
Several companies have tried their hand at taking it over in the past, but Silent Avalanche has sent them all packing.
Their Normals are specifically adapted for combat on the ice floes, and favor long-range sniper cannon attacks. Watch out for snipers camouflaged by the snow.
Those are your orders.
Overview[]
The mission is to defeat the BFF elite arctic sniper unit, Silent Avalanche. The unit is equipped with specialized sniping Normals, and will attempted to jam the player's radar with ECM, and take advantage of the low visibility caused by the environment. This can catch the player off guard, potentially resulting in getting hit repeatedly by Silent Avelanche's sniper cannons. Boosting from cover to cover is an effective means of closing the distance while avoiding the snipers. The mission will end once all enemies are defeated.
Hard Mode Differences: The player must fight two enemy NEXTs, Helix I and Helix II, which appear after the destruction of Silent Avalanche's Normals.
