A powerful Shotgun like weapon, Slug Guns are exclusive for the Back Weapon

Usage

Powerful but only at close range, a Slug Gun can produce an impressive amount of Stun. However, like all Cannon weapons, Slug Guns are only viable with Human PLUS or quad and tank legs.

In Armored Core 2 on, the introduction of Heat makes the Slug Gun a dangerous threat at close quarters. Capable of quickly overheating an enemy, a well timed point blank blast from a Slug Gun can easily cause an AC to overheat, making it a great counter to blade users.

Users

The most famous user of the slug gun is the pilot of the Valkyrie AC, Losvaize. Her version of the slug gun, while outwardly appearing as the normal model, displayed the ability to fire at an insane rate, comparable to the likes of a machine gun (much like Nineball’s pulse rifle). Combined with the ability to stun opponents, Losvaize’s slug gun is easily one of the deadliest weapons ever encountered in the series.
