Briefing[]

We've obtained information regarding a planned assault of Vihul
Spaceport. The Spaceport is the main hub for travel between Earth and
Mars.

One of our Earth Government spaceships is scheduled to land at the
Spaceport. The attack is probably intended to prevent it from doing
so.

The assault team is of unknown origin, but it's assumed they were
hired by one of the corporations. We must destroy anyone who attempts
to disturb the peace on Mars.

We want to hire you to protect the terminal from potential enemy
attack. You will also be provided with a support team to assist you in
this mission.

You will be reimbursed, even if the planned assault does not occurs.
You have no reason to reject this offer, have you?

Supply Vehicle: "Checking ammunition and energy. All clear re-supply complete."

Supply Vehicle: "All ammunition and energy depleted. Unable to re-supply."

Walkthrough[]

This mission is fairly easy as long as you have a good way of dealing with aircraft. Machineguns, missiles and even rifles work well in this category although your AC needs to be mobile to keep up with them and you should do your best to avoid their missiles. All of the Ladybirds appear in formation and to better small missile launchers, this means you can take out multiple easily, granted you have the FCS to do it. The MTs that are you allies, the Daywalkers are pretty useless simply because their rockets are not very good for dealing with aircraft, especially with their accuracy.

The best vantage position for this mission is the top of the Spaceport. From here most of the Ladybirds appear below you and it's fairly easy to spot the Sanctuary bomber. When it appears, destroy it immediately simply because it can prove devastating to your defense targets if it survives. Once it is destroyed, it's simply mop up from there.
