Just because From Software labeled a NEXT Unsung, doesn't mean that it's a reference to Ace Combat 5. Here's the definition of Unsung:
un·sung
adj 1. not praised or honored: not given the praise or honor that is due 2. not sung: not sung or not to be sung
The first is what is important. In For Answer, Thermidor (at least on normal, I played both the League and ORCA ending on Normal) is the unsung hero as he allows human civilization to survive further expansion. While the player may be praised, Thermidor is the one that set it up. That's just my opinion. Does anyone else agree or disagree.--KnightNapier 02:02, December 5, 2009 (UTC)
True but, you cannot prove or disprove that it is or is not a reference to Ace Combat 5 (I wouldn't no because I've never played that series before). It is more logical to put a reference on the page which can be correct or incorrect however than writing false information (The random names you've been giving everything etc...) without a proper source. However, since a reference as aformentioned cannot be proved or disproved unless the desginer has given evidence on the case, It could be pressumed to be correct
- I've played almost all of the Ace Combat series save for two and haven't only beaten 3. The Unsung War is about the players trying to stop a war between your home country and a neighbor being instigated by a third power. This only uses the word as it isn't a really well known war, more of a drawn out covert operation so hence, an Unsung War. It's not something that will be taught in the history books but it was important nevertheless, hence Unsung. If I called an AC Phantom, would that be a refernece to Phantom of the Opera? Probably not. But if I called an AC Black Dragon and the pilot was Necron, then that's a reference to King's Field an older From Softwar game who appeared in Armored Core Project Phantasma. Also the famous MOONLIGHT comes from here as well. There isn't a problem with references but post them on talk pages before it goes on the actual page; that's general rule of thumb on wikias.--KnightNapier 01:53, December 5, 2009 (UTC)
Really from the way you created articles I thought it was the rule of thumb for wikis to give information with no basis (bishops, tripods?) Or maybe it was to create articles with misspelled labels (BTW its Project Phantasma not Phantamsa) But I'm sure you know best you seem so experienced yet when I look at all Wiki pages they usually state where they got their information from.
- The Bishop (the brown MTs) get their name from concept art released on Armored Core Nexus, along with several others. The flying MTs from Project Phantasma are called Scimiter abd the Blue general purpose ACs (their name coms from Nexus too) are called Heat Wave. Sorry about the misspellings, if these pages had spell check then I would be better off. However not all of the MTs have names so what are we going to call them? Unnamed MT number six?. There's not a lot of information that I can glean, even from the guides, about names of MTs so sometimes you've got to bend the rules a bit. Also I did editing before actually creating pages so I don't know everything. Perhaps I should MLA formatting for citations.--KnightNapier 14:26, December 6, 2009 (UTC)
I agree that the mts should not be unamed but they should definetly be openly discussed before a naming occurs. For example im my article on the Mission Rescue Survey Team You put the enemy's down as mini tripod security mt's. This name is incorrect seeing as they have 4 legs not three and also it is a very long and unappealing name, the name should have been something simple such as Scrapped Security Mt's as stated in the mission briefing
- I thought they were tripods, sorry about that if they weren't but I could swear that they were. Doesn't the picture for them show three legs? Anyway, this is a community project, not just one man's show, regardless of my tone. What I put down for the missions come for a strategy guide that I own on Project Phantasma but it does have a section on Armored Core. This is a very spartan affair but the ones from Prima are much better. If we wanted to do the missions, we should play through them with multiple AC models, PLUS and no PLUS. That's of course if we wanted to do it right. --KnightNapier 21:15, December 6, 2009 (UTC)
I agree with that maybe we should put in multiplr strategies from different perspectives for each mission
