The 'rail machine gun' has to be the cheapest weapon in Armored Core's history, surpassing the quad large missile arms. You can at least dodge those but a weapon that you can't even dodge. That just isn't even fair... KnightNapier 21:27, June 11, 2010 (UTC)
I think you can dodge 'em....in theory Kaihedgie 02:13, June 12, 2010 (UTC)
I don't know, from what I saw,it's impossible. Here's a video from YouTube on the Super Archangel and the shot velocity is incredable, much faster than any other weapon. thumb|left|300pxKnightNapier 03:09, June 12, 2010 (UTC)
Note[]
I don't know if anyone else has noticed this but the Aerial Pulverizers are two enemies. Watch the Remnants Enemy gauge and when the Pulverizer is in it's normal form it is at 50% while when it brings itself together to form the shield, the gauge goes up to 100%.
Techincally the game has produced two enemies for this and my guess is that it's the shield which blocks the fire as the lock on goes green indicating that it's behind a solid object.
Just an observation...KnightNapier 02:26, March 7, 2011 (UTC)
i have a theory about the origin of the pulverizer although it might be a bit skechy for one i think that a more appropriate name for them would have been learners for the simple fact that every time a unit made an appearance either it was a new version of the same kind or a completely differerent design altogether this was due to a highly advanced super sentient intelligence that allowed for rapid field battle analysis or RFBA. when a new model is built it covers the weakness of the one before.
as for the origin think for a minute about the pulverizers, the internecine they were supposedly built at and the time period (est by the intro of last raven and the enviroment surrounding) it would seem very odd for this kind of technology which is at least fifteen to twenty years in advance of AC standards?
someone as in an organization would have needed to be working on this tech for at least a generation before research and development and deployment of the base and the machines would be possible.
i believe that an unknown organization that may have been present as far back as silent line made a corporate move against the big three companies mirage, kisaragi, and crest in the form of the unmanned suicide weapon attack
that led the three to merge to form alliance and then very conveniently a rebel force called vertex hit the scene to appose alliance. then the pulverizers showed up. now this would of course mean that the raven and leader of vertex
was mainly responsible for the pulverizers production and represents the unnamed organization. this could be true and one of the alternate ending in last raven actually points to this however i beleive that he was just a pawn in this
plan and lower members of vertex were more involved in this phase and that, both the rebels and alliance were the catalyst that created what we know as pulverizers.Tolimee 20:28, December 9, 2011 (UTC)
- Well there isn't that much knowledge of the world before the rise of the Controller and the Corporations. We do know that in all of the Armored Core games, the corporations utilize advanced ancient technology to their advantage. For the first games, it was PLUS, the second game had the Martian technology and Disorder and for the third... it's largely unknon, although I'd hedge my bets that IBIS, Controller and the Intercene were all created before the war.
- In Armored Core Nexus, Navis is digging around and ultimately sets everything in motion by unearthing what is most likely the ancent weapons sytem. All of the Pulverizers, Leviathan and the unmanned suicide weapons are very different forms of technology as seen in the fights against them. They are capable of indefinate flight without the need of boosters, capable of utilizing some kind of solid state plasma as weapons (seen on Pulverizer's arms) and are obviously very advanced, far more than what the corporations can develop.
- Of course I don't have any backing for my claim, but, considering the past of the Armored Core series, I think it's probably true.Never Rub Another Man's Rubarb 16:11, December 12, 2011 (UTC)
