AC Wild Fin
Wild Fin is a middleweight four-legged AC equipped with a multi missile launcher double back weapon, machine gun and laser blade. He launches into battle overweight.
Strategy[]
As the no.1 ranker of the Four-legged Arena, Tall Spot is by no means a pushover. To underestimate its damage output is to risk certain death. He is capable of dishing out a relentless stream of bullets while patiently absorbing punishment. Although nowhere near as hard as the likes of some other high-rank ACs, Tall Spot is capable of tearing you to shreds if you're not careful in dealing with him.
Tall Spot will often start off by firing off multi-missile salvos in your direction. Beware of this as Tall Spot has a fast-locking FCS which allows him to let loose multiple missile salvos at great speed, and if they connect, you're done for, as they can deal massive damage. After this, Tall Spot will switch to his machine gun and bombard you with machine gun rounds, never taking his finger off the trigger once he has you in his sights. This is often the most crucial part of the battle, as Tall Spot can either decide the outcome of the battle then and there, or you can turn things around by beating him at his own game. While Tall Spot's relentless barrage of bullets may seem intimidating, his AC suffers from severe energy consumption issues, greatly restricting his flying ability. Because of this, Tall Spot is often reduced to lumbering around the battlefield, gliding slowly while attempting to get a clear shot at you to shoot his machine gun.
For that reason, Tall Spot is a relatively easy one to exploit into depleting his energy reserves and keep him grounded, making him an easy target. However, it doesn't mean he will go down without a fight. As mentioned before, Tall Spot will continually bombard you with machine gun bullets or missile salvos until you're dead, so it is best to use his own strength against him: damage racing him with stronger weapons of your own will allow you to win out in the long run.
Tall Spot's constant lumbering and gliding around the battlefield means that he will readily absorb damage, as he can't easily move out of the way of incoming fire. But note that Tall Spot's choice of parts means that he won't go down easily to meager firepower, necessitating the need for stronger firepower. As Tall Spot's AC uses parts that are heavily tuned towards shell defense, it is better to use energy weapons against him. Weapons like the WG-XFwPPk, WC-01QL and WC-IR24 are effective against Tall Spot. Given that Tall Spot will usually ignore evasive measures in favor of trying to damage race you with his machine gun, it all ultimately comes down to whoever can deal the most damage within the shortest period of time, so don't hold anything back.
All in all, Tall Spot is a good fight for a no.1 ranker. While he does have some shortcomings, treating him as a walk in the park is a big no-no.
