Terra is a Raven appearing in Armored Core 3. He is ranked E-31 in the Arena.

AC Spectrum[]

Spectrum is a lightweight bipedal AC equipped with an overboost core, anti missile extensions, a KARASAWA laser rifle, and laser blade.

It is one of the AC that stands out in the game, particularly for the fact that it carries the KARASAWA + CLB-LS-2551 combo. The pilot's deadly precision with these weapons make it an extremely efficient AC able to tackle all ranges in combat.

His accuracy is something to behold, and the AC he pilots is designed to maximize his use of right-hand weapons. The tactics he employs are exceedingly simple in their nature, but are devastating when executed with such fine precision.

Strategy[]

Spectrum is a quintessential KARASAWA-based build, with the moderately powerful LS-2551 laser blade as its only backup. The unit is geared towards high speed, high precision, and rapid pace combat. If you want to beat Terra, you need to either overpower or outlast the KARASAWA's AC-melting potential.

The best place to fight him is in the Parking Lot with a heavy AC with the MCH-MX/GRP core and KARASAWA laser rifle. If things go well and you get into a corner quick enough, Terra will get stuck on one of the walls allowing you to exchange shots until he dies. The core's EOs and KARASAWA plus the extra AP will allow you to survive this slug fest.

Alternatively, a sufficiently fast AC can try and outdodge the slow energy bolts until Spectrum's KARASAWA is depleted. A lightweight biped with powerful boosters is recommended to keep up with Terra's battle tempo. Be careful, however, because the KARASAWA is very powerful, and true to the description Terra is a crack shot with it. You will need to avoid a large majority of its shots, to have a shot at surviving until Spectrum is out of its ranged attack. For this approach, pick an open battlefield such as the Global Cortex Arena. There, you should keep Terra at KARASAWA's maximum range, and additionally you will have to have mastered boost hopping, timing engaging your boosters just before a bolt is launched your way. However, even past that, Terra is pretty fast himself and he still has a laser blade to utilize at close range, so you will have to stay on your guard until you have finished him.

The name Terra is the Latin, Spanish, Portuguese & Italian name for Earth.

The name Spectrum refers to a range of different things within a set. In the AC's case it is his use of energy weapons that can cover a wide spectrum of ranges.
