- The VP-66EG is one of 4 AC weapons in the game that can inflict the Shock status, which gives afflicted enemies the "Electrical Discharge" status effect that will create a burst dealing additional Damage and impact upon reaching the status effect threshold.
- Proccing the Shock status also generates a mini-stun effect that can disrupt certain actions on the afflicted target, such as cancelling attacks.
- The Shock AC abnormality had its damage decreased in Patch 1.06.
